Beginning My New Blog

A few folks who are friends on my Facebook page have asked me to start a blog, mainly to describe my trips and adventures on the road, but also to talk about my experiences as a artist. Here is where I'll try to keep up with weekly postings. Sometimes they'll be longer and other times shorter. Working at a job and starting an art business are time consuming, but I'll definitely squeeze in some time for writing. 

A bit about me. As I near retirement (in a couple of years), I've made it a goal to visit as many of the U.S. national parks and monuments as possible, especially as they are under threat from climate change and industrial forces that want to exploit the natural resources for profitable gain. I wholly behind the activist movement to protect national parks and monuments. Consequently, I may occasionally post links to alerts from the national park conservation association about potential threats to specific parks or monuments. If that bothers you, then this probably isn't the site for your to visit. I'm okay with that. 

I'll continue to work on this site and work on new art to post to my galleries on this site.
